Hi Everyone: I have had two episodes of tachycardia with a  heartbeat over 120. This past time, I actually noticed my face was a gray/blue color during the episode. Afterwards, color came back. I was wondering how many of you experience tachycardia and what do they do for it if you were to go to the ER? Does Lyme actually damage the heart or is all of this from bacteria? Very scarey. Thanks~ Dowa

I just read the post about pots. The differnece in my case is that both episodes occured while I was asleep so not sure its the same as if sounds like posts occurs when standing up suddenly. Is that right? Also the blueness was in my face, not extremeties. But, I do think it may have something to do  with the autonomic nervous system. I was concerned about my heart so was asking how many Lymies have it. Thanks Bucci.

Dowa, I get it in my sleep and standing up. my bedroom is a mess becasause by end of day I just drop everything on the floor to go to bed. But for me to PICK THEM UP is too big of a deal to bend over.

Have you been checked for parasites? i had strongylides and everyday I would be out driving the carGRIPPING the steering wheel in the most frightening pain . All the time I thought to just drive myself to the emergency room but the thought of that is even more frightening.
Once you mention heart the go nuts in the ER. you could go in bleeding all over and be dropped instantly for a person who comes in with chest pains. That happened to me once before. They drew blood and something from that blood test told them I had a heart thing happen. The cardiac doctor and team were all there instantly. I thought it was my thyroid going bezzurk from inteferon treatment for hep c. This was before I figured out that lyme was my biggest problem.

anyway last year a really sharp group of naturopaths in Seattle took my case on as a group and finally figured out that the culprit here that has caused so much damage is lyme. But the stool test with the strongylides was the tip off that led them in the lyme direction. Ivermectin is what I took for a couple of days and instanty my chest pains were gone.

the stool test comes from metametrix and is about $400. it will tell you everything about how your gut is processing everything. how your pancreas is doing and PARASITES. that test saved my life.

Dowa,

Have you ever been checked for sleep apnea? I used to get tachycardia episodes at night too. At first I was told it was panic attacks but then my doctor thought sleep apnea. I had a sleep monitor attached to me during the night and it showed unusual sleep patterns but I never went in for the actual test. If you are looking blue/grey in color, I would talk to your doctor about sleep apnea. Let them know what's going on either way.

One of my most disconcerting symptoms in the beginning after the rashes after the "flu" was tachycardia, i could go up to 170. I was so scared so uncomfortable i just dread thinking back to that time. FINALLY they found i have a mitral valve prolapse (red flag for lyme but nobody connected it) and gave me a beta blocker. God bless that beta blocker as my lyme symptoms let up with treatment the palpitations left, although i am still on beta blocker. please tell doc or heck they will see it on that machine how fast your beating and maybe try a beta blocker. I had been given xanax didn't even help it was the beta blocker for the prolapse, i will never forget the relief and gratitude i felt when my chest settled down. Good luck get some help it is hell to live with palpitations.

Also, Babesia can cause tachycardia too but I am concerned about you looking blue/grey. That sunds more like you're not getting oxygen that's why sleep apnea came to mind.

Thank you to all of you who replied. I was hesitant about the ER as Bucci said, they get "freaked out" there and I dont have another million dollars to spend in the ER. I was surprised to see that parasites could cause chest pain and tachycardia, interesting. I dont believe I have sleep apnea but I do live alone so, I suppose I could have it and not know. I just did not want to do the whole "cardiac workup" and be told I am ok. I read an article recently about Lyme and left-sided heart block and I cant seem to find that article now. That is why I asked here. I was also thinking the sticky blood condition...is that Heme test done only with ND or LDMD? I have no Lyme doc here, that is the whole problem. I am stuck with a GP or ER visit and am in Texas where they swear they dont have Lyme Disease. Thanks, I will due some more research. Be well everyone, thanks for helping.   Dowa
