Has your doctor checked your vitamin B12 levels? Deficiency of B12 can cause a lot of problems that can become permanent if not treated. Lyme tends to deplete B12 also.
Your symptoms are common among those with Lyme, and given your positive test result, I'd recommend consultation with a Lyme-Literate MD.
From what I understand, HIV can take a few months to show positive, but I'm not an expert and don't know if this is true of the most currently used tests. Also, I think there are 2 kinds of HIV (HIV1 and HIV2), so you should make sure to ask your doctor about this. There is an HIV forum here at HealingWell you might also want to check out - those folks are likely to be better able to answer HIV-specific questions. HIV typically causes a significant decrease in Lymphocytes and particularly in a specific kind of Lymphocyte called CD4, so you may want to have your doctor check your Lymphocyte subsets (CD3, CD4, CD56, and see if they can also check CD57 since CD57 is thought to be lowered by Lyme but not other diseases).
I hope this helps...take care,
