like strobe lights. flashes of light from ceiling or sky, flash in a diagonal line . probably will go either dr. or eye dr tomorrow?

it has let up, but strange symptom

maybe a die off symptom on a herx? Nasalady thank u , my eyes lately (before this fourth of july today) have been I think getting worse but nothing like this but its not double but blurry and color isn't working as well but mostlyflashing strobe lights. My daughter had a fit, but her cousin showed her on the net where it does hold a chance for a cure and she settled down, my daighter has lyme too but as her cousin would say not as bad. grateful for u guyz : )

Rose, I'm not a doctor, and I'm glad you're planning to see a doctor, but what you describe sounds like it could be an optical migraine....migraines sometimes occur without pain, just weird optical effects.

The first time this happened to me, I had optical effects like a diagonal "crack" across my field of vision, with rainbow flashes of light moving around the edges. I thought I was going blind, but I went to an eye doctor who said, "No, it's a migraine".

Does that sound at all like what you're seeing?

Praying that you get some answers and that you feel better soon!

I too have had eye problems. Always trying to clear my left eye. Lesions on brain were primarily on right side which they say is probably cause. It getting suddenly bloodshot under stress or aggravation. Only way I can explain it is shadowy around edges. I failed visual field potential but neuro-opth couldn't find any problems other than small blood vessels. Luckily it comes and goes and doesn't seem to be getting worse, knock on wood. My knuckles are getting sore from all of this knocking!

Hi roses,

Before I knew I had lyme, I had problems with one of my eyes (went blind) and a team of doctors saw spirochetes in my eye, yes, they like to live there too..

Are you detoxing daily?  It's possible the toxins are causing your eye problems.  I would see an eye specialist who knows about lyme.   I knew a lady who was a patient of Dr. Burrascano and was on IV antibiotics for years and she ended up going blind.   Dr. B. never told her about detoxing.   People don't realize how important detoxing really is...

Hope you feel better,

Denise

Rose..........is that the horse ivermectin? stay away from that stuff.

I agree with Deejavue again. anyone doing ay treatment for lyme with out detox routines
and the advice of a nauturopath expert on lyme who knows the right supplements or herbs to pull
you through is going to suffer even more.

The only thing I don't agree with in terms of supplements is the magnesium. I really do think there is something to NOT taking it because lyme loves magnesium so not to put an extra in body. and I had my blood levels checked for magnesium and they are OK after a year of no magnesium supplent. including epson salt.

I think that sandle wood essential oil is great for nerve pain. so I put it in tub.

also if anyone can find alkaseltzer GOLD let me know. it is also great for herxing .

also Rose, have you had ISACS panel done for thick blood. I was having migranes in right eye and head like a stroke and found out my blood was terribly thick. I did heparin shots for 8 months and that was only thing to sto the insane pain in my eye and right side of head.

now i don't take it but when those symptoms come back i do the shots again and I feel better.

also Rose, it would be better if you got the stool test for the parasites.

I did ivermectin for strongylides and it worked great but it was the human pill form.

but it didn't cure all my stuff. sometime i wonder about abx being just too much for old timers.

and then I wonder what if I just took zethro low dose every day. or a few days a week.

i know how you feel . and I think the worst thing is when we have these brain function and vision symptom that it gets most frightneing.

I also am wondering if a brain scan and not MRI or ultrasound or cat scan.

we have to be able to see the picture of the brain like Dr. Amen does.

There is specific areas of out brain that is being attacked.

Rose, it seems like you are having a relapse? weren't you feeling better for a while.

Has your whle family been checked? do you have pets?

Roses,
Was the Ivermectin meant for animals or people?

Rose,
You're supposed to be careful with that. I am soooo sorry, but we/I care for your well being. Sure, desperate measures is tempting, but so was sucidal ideation for me! But I am here!!!!!!! We want to get better so badly!

Bucci, stool sample is important regarding diagnoses of Lyme? Doesn't everyone do it?

Spring: Im always blinking because of the fogginess in the eyes! I wondered what this was early in the year, now I know!

Bucci, why not agree on magnesium? I've heard everyone say good things about it.

Thx. Everyone's input is very much appreciated.

Thanks for all of your support
this illness stuff has got to go : )
I have an appt with a dr, this thursday and not my normal PA I stay with because I feel sorry for her LOL how smart is that,

the nurse thought the doc could see if it was or could be optic neuritis, my brother had it and he is double diagnosed lyme and ms (insane)

I don't know if I mentioned it but for a small while the world was black and white then the strobes came in.

the ivermectin is what what we give our horses BUT it came out way too fast i.e. I took too much the first time (fri) i used it. I am now taking less than half my weight every night to see what happens. thanks for all the support and it will be interesting to see what doc says and while i am at it I will change to him permanently as opposed to the pa i feel sorry for, she can be so argumentative about everything from politics to people , i do not like to fight , poor thing she has had a hard life but she just about let my kids die too many times by her consistent protocol which is DO NOTHING!! goodness!!
