Expensive, pulses therapy, long wait to get in. Some have done very well with him, and others after 2+ years are in the same boat.

Have you been re-tested for Babs? I am wondering what makes you sure that it is back after enjoying the time you did in remission.

I was off abx for 6 months when relapsed. I had just pulsed for the previous year-10 days/month and felt great. I have had a lot of air hunger and nausea.

However my lyme titer just came back + That's the one we never really treated!

I have an amazing LLMD in Germantown maryland that accept all health insurances. He is a primary care doctor also, so he accepts insurance. He has had me on long term antibiotics for 7 months now and adderall to help with the fatigue and pain killers to help with the pain.

I am currently seeing a very good doctor in vienna, va. I am currently seeking a second opinion, however, since I have been one of his most complicated cases.

I am VERY interested in hearing about the doctor in Germantown. Mine currently does not accept insurance and my family has pretty much exhausted all their resources and we are running out of options.

You could email me at nuttbt (at) mymail (dot) vcu (dot) edu . (don't want to get any spam!) I would appreciated it very much brittany .

It's Dr. L btw (the one in vienna)

Beths,

Here's some more inofrmation on finding an LLMD if you are not satisfied with the ones you listed.

Welcome to the forum! We're so glad that you found us:)

For information on finding a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor(LLMD) in your area, please email our long time member, Dan's Mother at:
phassan@optonline.net

If you'd like more doctor suggestions, you can email stephanie at: stephanie@turnthecorner.org You can also go to: www.turnthecorner.org/bod.htm if you want to learn a little bit more about Lyme Disease.

You can also go to The Lyme Disease Association and search for LLMD's 3 times in a month. You have to register first. Here is the link: www.lymediseaseassociation.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=277&Itemid=74

You will want to find an ILADS(International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) doctor. The ILADS site is a great place to read to get you started on your Lyme journey. www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/treatment_guidelines_clearing_ilads.html

For great info and links, read the topic at the top of the forum titled,"New To Lyme?......Start Here!" It will help to get you started learning about Lyme Disease

I would go to see the LLMD in Germantown who I have been to to get a second opinion. I think he cares and knows quite a bit and the insurance part of it helps greatly. If I make a change from my current LLMD, I'll keep him at the top of my list. I see Dr. S in NOVA.
