Hello, I just wanted to make a comment on the Doxi and Clostridium Difficile. I had a ruptured appendix, which in turn to save my life was given an extremely high dosage of antibiotics (several different ones at the same time in IV form)...it has been 25 years ago and I now can no longer take any antibiotics as I immediately get C-Diff. I have had it at least 10 times.
You can test negative but then test positive several weeks later.
I would recommend doing another C-Diff test. Also, I have IBD and it got worse after having C-Diff problems. However, I have 7-children and when my daughter was young she even got C-Diff. A couple of them have IBS, and I believe I passed this on to them.
Good Luck...but don't wait a long time to follow up on this...C-Diff will turn into Psuedomembraneous Colitis. died from. I can now tell when I get it without being tested first.
Also, another sign is your stool will be extremely smelly...C-Diff has its own extreme odor.
