I took the name of the doc out of your post until I could talk with you. Does this doc
openly advertise that s/he treats Lyme? A lot of docs don't want their name out in the
open if they haven't already done so themselves, as these docs are under constant threat of attack by not only the AMA, but insurance companies as well because they give us this so-called 'controversial' treatment of long term abx. It's crazy, but we do like to protect the docs that put it on the line for us.
If s/he doesn't
openly advertise that he treats Lyme, please ask them before posting their names - you see we are an
open forum, meaning anyone can read these posts, so it would be like advertising their name on the internet.
Thank you so very much for wanting to share your news though!! Please do let me know about
your new doc and if they want their name out in the
open, if so I will be happy to put it back into your post!
Also, you can always share doc names and contact info in private emails! You will need to activate your email address here on the forum first though.
I also wanted to congratulate you on finding a LLMD and starting treatment!!! How wonderful!! Congrats!! Please do be careful to protect your stomach while taking the Doxy - if you experience stomach upset, then be sure to take it after
eating a snack.
Also please be careful to start each of your new treatments one at a time and no more than one each day. It would be best to give each one a couple of days before starting the next one. That way if you experience any troubles with one, you will know right away which one was the culprit.
Have you read through our "New to Lyme?" thread yet? In it you will find a post about
detoxing. By detoxing you will help your body heal better and faster. The treatments that you are starting will kill of more bacteria and you will need to help your body get rid of the toxins that are created when they die. The detox baths, dry skin brushing and drinking plenty of lemon (or Lime) water will go a long way in helping you to feel better.
Hope this helps a bit!
And congrats once again!

I break up my post because my eyes have been effected by TBI's as well, making long paragraphs very hard to read.
