I am so sorry to hear of what you and your Mom are going through! There is help though!
For starters here's what I suggest you do:
If you haven't already, it would be beneficial for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled,"New to Lyme?...Start here!!"
, as it is packed full of relevant information, symptom lists and informative links that have been put together by our members here! Most of those who have read through it have said that it was very helpful!! We also have a pretty good search function on this forum to help you narrow down your search for information from past posts. We must be our own health advocates now and the best thing to arm yourself with is knowledge!
In the above mentioned thread - "New to Lyme?" - you will also see that we have included instructions for detoxing for those with Lyme. This is very important and something your Mom can start doing right away! None of the ingredients are hard to find and you may have everything you need already in your home!! One of the reasons for the symptoms is because the bacteria produce toxins and it's those toxins that drive our symptoms. Do be sure that she moves slowly with the detoxing though, at least until you both know if she is going to have a flare of symptoms from detoxing. As long as it's not something serious, she will just need to go slow. We suggest that the first time someone start using the detox baths that they only stay in for 10 minutes at most, and not to do it daily right away -wait a day or two in between, again watching for any reactions. Should she start having more heart symptoms while in the bath, please help her get out right away, though.
Next, you will need to find a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor (LLMD) to treat your Mom. Here is where we suggest that our members start:
You can email Stephanie at: firstname.lastname@example.org
You can also go to: www.turnthecorner.org/
if you want to learn a little bit more about
You can also go to The Lyme Disease Association and search for LLMD's 3 times in a month. You have to register first. Here is the link:www.lymediseaseassociation.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=277&Itemid=74
You will want to find an ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) doctor. The ILADS site is another great place to read to get you started on your Lyme journey. www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/treatment_guidelines_clearing_ilads.html
I would suggest once you've done those things is to use our search function to find those posts that relate directly to what your Mom is going through in order to find out if there are things that can be done to ease her symptoms some.
You and your Mom are not alone in this! We are here to help you find your way through all of this!

Treating with Acupuncture, Traditional & Modern Chinese Medicine & Western Herbs. Before tx, I had all but 20 of the symptoms on the "Master Symptom List"
"Absence of proof is not proof of absence" - Dr. Edwin Masters, great LLMD & researcher -RIP
I break up my post because my eyes have been effected by TBI's as well, making long paragraphs very hard to read.
