I was tested for coinfections and found to be negative by the same lab that said I was negative for lyme--so it stands to reason they could be wrong.
I have not been tested for coinfections through Igenex but I am considering it bc I worry that I might have something else stewing since coinfection seems common.
It is very expensive so I need to be particular about the testing. Could anyone tell me the most common of the coinfections? Here are my main symptoms, if it helps:
- random joint aches and pains
- occasional bone pain
- neck aches
- vertigo (newest symptom)
- aching in the bottom of the feet
- food sensitivity to potato
- occasional fatigue
there are others that come and go randomly, of course!
Are co infections particular to geographic area? I am in New England.
I am on Doxy now, had 3 mo of Biaxin prior.
My doctor drew extra blood when I had the lyme test, in August, for testing for co-infections. Would it be better to get a fresh sample, since I've had it longer or would the older sample be better because it was early in my abx treatment?
Thanks so so much!
