Hi All,

I have been reading about magnesium oil for a while and how it can help with sleep and pain.  Iherb was offering a free sample, so I ordered one.  When I got my order, I tried some, it was about 5pm and I was catching up on my emails.  I all of a sudden felt like I couldn't keep my eyes open, so I leaned back in my chair and listened to a David Wolfe video.  I was so relaxed I could have fallen asleep!  I didn't put 2 and 2 together until the next day.  I tried it later the next day along with my melatonin but closer to bedtime and it did seem to help me sleep more deeply.  I have been having terrible joint pain at night when I try to sleep and this has been much better.  Wanted to pass along my experience with the magnesium oil.  I don't know if I have ever been tested for magnesium or what kind of test they would do, so I don't know if or how deficient I am, but it does seem to help, so I will continue as long as I am having good results.

I am so glad you posted about this KO-LD!

Recently, I was in my local health food store and had a big knot in my shoulder area (from carrying around my two yr old Grandson too much!!), I mentioned it and the gal there practically ran over to the sample of this magnesium gel and had me apply a small amount. It worked in relaxing those muscles that were all knotted up so quickly, I actually questioned the product!

I read the bottle and there was nothing other than magnesium gel in it, but I'm still quite the skeptic. I think I'll be going back to the health food shop and getting some for myself after reading your glowing report!

Thanks again!!!

Traveler, I also had a knot below my shoulder that had been giving me a lot of trouble (the massage therapist called it a trigger point) she found it right away without me telling her where or what side it was on. It made a big difference with my shoulder and hips as well. I want to go regularly, but it is expensive, so I am hoping someone will have a recommendation on how often you should go.

P.S. Did you have to wash it off after 1/2 hour? That's what they tell you with the magnesium oil. I apply it to my hands and then watch TV for the 1/2 hour and then I was it off.

I just recently went to my LLMD and was having a problem with constipation (sorry) and tight neck muscles. She advised me to double my dose of magnesium which I have done and it is helping tremendously.

How much magnesium are you now taking, Springsjean? I already take 750 mgs morning and evening for a total of 1500 mgs.

I noticed though when I used that magnesium gel, I didn't go running for the bathroom the next day like I do when I try to raise my dose with the supplement pill form.
