I don't even know how to describe the symptoms, the best I can come up with is a weird tickle feeling with weakness in the hands (my hands also have the burning sensation) and feet and a burning sensation in the back of my throat and on my face. I'm trying not to worry too much, but my face is red and I just have an overall unwell feeling (some shortness of breath, too).

Has anyone ever had this, and if so, do you know what caused it?

i have had much wakness in hands, sometimes hard to write and it is like my brain thoughts to my hand do not work properly as words seem harder to form in writing as well as speaking..pretty weird

i have what i would call quite noticeable burning in legs..it started about 6 months ago..

It seems to accelerate when i detox to fast and my liver gets stressed there are certain points on my face that will burn, which i believe are accupunctue meridians related to mostly liver spots as i recognize them from when my cranial sacral lady did work on me for mostly liver stress and would touch these locations-upper lip-just under nose..upper lip and temples are where my face burns are,,sometimes sinus when i was taking lactoferrin.i have read lactoferrin will access sinus and sinus's I belieev have loads of viral-bugs due to dampness, just like lungs and lower intestines

i think its my heart that causes my shortness of breath, i can only spend about 5 minutes talking on the phone and then i run out of breath

i believe its the bugs and their die off

Have you changed anything with your treatment protocol recently? That's usually the best way I've found to tell what's causing something - whatever I've done differently is usually the culprit!

I get some pretty strange sensations when I'm herxing - I get the burning, which sometimes feels like someone's pouring hot liquid down me (and half the time I freak out thinking I've spilled something!), and a sensation that my arms are falling asleep, with pins and needles - if that's similiar to what you were describing.

I'd just say to keep an eye on it - keep track of your symptoms, and contact your doctor if it gets to be too much.

I was in remission for almost 2 years (I'm pretty sure it was that long), and in November, I started having symptoms again, so I waited a bit and started Zhang's herbs a couple of weeks ago. I also had to take Clindamycin for a staph infection, so I was thinking I could be herxing from that.

I called my Naturopath, and she said to take an AI#3 from Zhang, which I did. So far, not much better sad

mercuryb: I also get the out of breath thing. If I am in any length of conversation with someone, my throat tightens up and closes so I can't get air. I have to stop talking. It doesn't take long before I can breath again. My voice even gets raspy and my throat gets sore. I really have to suck in to get my air when that happens and it sounds wheezy. I get a lot of pain under my ribs and chest, so I thought some of my problems might be my diaphram not working properly, part of my muscle problems. Do you get anything like this or anyone else???

hopefulmaxine; my shortness of breath seems to originate in heart; but many times my voice gets or goes raspy and just seems to "run out" after a few sentences..my pains in upper body seem to be heart tiongling for lack of a betetr work and tightness

i like you though have to stop talking and laydown..

it seems to tie into what i think is oxgen shortness in brain,, just like my head wants to always nod off

Well shortness of breath is usually a symptom of Babesia, the burning tingling type of feelings are generally nerve related and can be from Lyme (Neuro-lyme) or Bartonella, although the burning feet is more a symptom of Bartonella. The funny tingly feelings on the face are most likely from Lyme (under the umbrella of facial palsy).

Bella,
Are you detoxing? I'm so very sorry that you have a need to be back here, but I'm glad that you came back here and not somewhere else!! smilewinkgrin
