I saw my LLMD yesterday - for some reason my CD57 keeps going down - it was 11 when I started treatment in May, and it went up a little, but is now down to 15. I know the CD57 isn't super reliable, and that it can fluctuate, but it's making my doctor a little concerned/stumped.
The EBV, HHV6, Parvovirus, Mycoplasma are still really high - I know I've been herxing pretty hard so it leads me to wonder what exactly it is that I've been fighting so hard! My guess is either I'm fighting the Lyme and the CD57 just isn't reflecting that, or it's what I've suspected all along - bartonella. So hopefully, the abx I've been taking have been targetting the bart instead of the Lyme and that's why the CD57 is down so low - so we switched back to azithro to work on that some more.
On top of it - we're redoing the completely digestive panel, which I suspect will have a lot of information (I can just tell my whole system is "off), and testing for heavy metals - which, my guess is, will be similar to what it was the first time I had them tested (the doc I was seeing didn't do anything about it at the time) - which means I'll be bugging you all with questions about heavy metals :)
I think it's also a good time to remind people not to put too much faith in their labs - when you look at them - just straight numbers there in black and white, it can feel a little discouraging and disheartening. Always use your judgment and base your progress on how you feel - not what some piece of paper says!
