A recent EKG revealed "sinus bradycardia" at 54 bpm. I have no history of cardiovascular disease. I was a little shocked, since I've always had a normal pulse. My BP tends to drop a little sometimes, and I've experienced postural hypotension.

Has anyone had experience with this type of thing? I'm worried about what Lyme may have done to my heart. (I can't recall what GP said because I tuned out as he turned his attention to issue of the positive ANA.)

Please let me know your thoughts.

I see this post is old. Not sure if you're still around Spaztick. I have recently developed sinus bradycardia 3 years into treated infection.

Mine gets down into the 30's at times. I'm female in my 20's with no structural heart disease on an EKG. So it was VERY difficult to get a cardiologist to take me seriously. Has yours improved? I also have hypotension and fainting. BP drops into the 60's/40's range at times.

I have Lyme and B. Duncani.

Yes. I have continuously treated Lyme with antibiotics (oral) first and now herbs in very high/strong doses for the past 3 years. I have been diagnosed by many LLMD's based on testing for Lyme and co-infections through Igenex and Quest.

I have tested for pretty much every other condition on earth also and all is negative MS, RA, thyroid, hormones, anemia, etc. My western blot was CDC positive back in 2011. My CD57 has always been under 20. I think it was 16 the last time I checked.

The heart issues are separately dealt with by several cardiologists. I have diagnoses from event monitors of SVT, tachycardia, POTS, autonomically mediated syncope, bradycardia, right bundle branch block/left superior axis, multifocal PVC's up to triplets, etc.

Hi Summer,

It is nice to see you on the forum. I've missed seeing you around and wondered how you were doing. I'm glad that at least your thyroid and other tests are coming back normal. It sounds like you have a good cardiologist that is caring so I'm happy to see that.

Have you had any improvements?

Thanks, I haven't been doing well. I wish I could say I'm not around because I'm in remission or cured but unfortunately that's not the case.

I'm actually getting worse. The cardiologist I go to now...........it took a lot to get anyone to listen to me and he's mainstream so not knowledgeable about Lyme at all. I knew something was wrong. They told me it was just PVC's falsely lowering my HR so I got an implanted monitor.

I have a medication for my slow HR now but it doesn't work. No oral meds work for me (abx, most herbs, beta blockers, midodrine, advil, benadryl, etc.). Very frustrating...............
