Over the last 7 months, I've had improvement over Lyme. I've also developed sensitivities to some of the antibiotics. My doctor recently told me she suspects I also have Bartonella, but most of the meds. she gives Bartonella patients are ones that I am sensitive too.

So, for now we are doing nothing about Bartonella and I am in a holding pattern with the Lyme by taking the one antibiotic my body seems to tolerate well so far.

I asked my doctor about treating the Bartonella naturally and she was fine with that. Are any of you familiar with any natural supplements/minerals/ect. that would help me in starting to treat Bartonella naturally? I would like to start slowly and maybe hit the Lyme too.

If I work on building my immunity and health in general, will that allow my body to take over and fight this stuff off, or am I really out of options if I can't take the antibiotics?

Thank you.

SHB recommends this for natural treatment of Lyme and Bartonella:

Sida Accuta
Hawthorne Tincture
Japanese Knotweed
Milk Thistle Seed

The dosages can be found on his website. I don't know if I can post it here but if you like I can PM it to you.

I am on rifampin for bart but I also take Jknotweed and then I periodically make boneset and red root tea recommended by SB.  I find that every now and then my spleen seems to either be inflammed from processing the lymph and dieoff, the red root seems to clear this up.
I heard A-Bart is also very helpful (it seems a bit expensive but maybe worth it)
bart is definitely a challenge

Thanks to everyone that replied so far.

It has been a struggle to not be discouraged about the possibility of having Bartonella. Other than trying to get healthy in general, I'm not sure where to go from here.
