I am a new member and thought I would never find myself on one of these boards until now. I am a 32 year old male.
I would like to tell what I have been through and going through.
(And I do apologize for the long read but I am lost right now.)
Where my problems began or at least when I think they did.
Got married May 14th 2010. Up tell then no worries and felt great. Our honey moon was to Arizona and the Grand Canyon. One of the highlights of the trip was a hike down into the canyon. The next day I notice a odd looking rash on my right index finger. It looked like a blister at first but was unlike any blister I have ever seen. Under neath the top was a bright red area with little white dots in it. At the time I did not think much of it. Finished the honey moon and returned home. It took a while for the rash to fade away and it also change shape and form. Did not look like the bulls eye rash that I have seen, but like I said, did not look like a regular blister either. I was about
to go see a doctor for it, but it finally went away.
Fast forward to middle of summer same year. 2010
I was in our shop working and notice my hands started to tingle. about
palm to fingers on both hands. Not knowing what was going on, I started thinking stroke, heart problems and led my self to hyper ventilating and panic attack.
This led me to seeing a cardiologist and set me up for a stress test and echo cardiogram. Stress test was fine and was told heart looked great because all I could think of was heart problems.
I want to add that I had been to 3 different doctors and had there routine blood work done and I was pretty much fit as race horse. I had to beg to get a stress test for my panic attacks.
For some reason the doctor put me on Bystolic. I was taking a very small amount because my body is sensitive to anything I put in it. I wished I never took it. For reason I describe next.
As time went on, I started to experience theses weird skipped heart beats or what I thought was skipped beats. They are so hard for me to describe how they feel. I weened my self off the bystolic and went to a different heart doctor who put me on a 30 day heart monitoring. I had some of these weird beats during that time and would record them but according to the doctor, he did not see any on the report. All looked normal and sent me on my way.
I still have these weird skipped feeling heart beats to this day and no idea why. Sometimes when I take a full deep breath it feels as if my heart pauses and then continues. Other time its like a gas bubble that explodes and gives me a head rush and dizziness just for that time it happens. Tired describing to doctor who thinks maybe PVC of PAC and ok cause I have a healthy heart. Had numerous EKGs and all normal.
Different symptoms started to appear for me after the bout with the heart doctors.
I am going to try to speed it up because I see how long this is getting
One day at work, Thanksgiving weekend of 2011, I notice my feet had this electric feeling to them and felt heavy. Cue the panic attacks again. I do hate the panic attacks. I have been seeing a chiropractor for lower back pain and sciatic nerve problems since I was about
22. I have seen him for 4 years now. I have 3 lower disk that show degenerative and bulging a little bit from MRI.
I started to get these twitches and what felt like pop corn popping in my feet and legs. My legs would hurt on the outer edges and felt like tight bands. Chiro said probably just the nerve in my lower back and we will work on that. Did that for a while, nothing, when to see a Neurologist.
Did all his general test in off looking for MS and ALS. Passed those test. I do not have any lose of strength and I am in the gym almost every day during my lunch break.
Did a bunch of blood work looking for Autoimmune and glucose tolerance test. No diabetes and all blood work looked fine. My B12 showed to be high but that did not worry him. I had to get a copy of my blood work to see that because he did not tell me anything of the blood work.
He then set my up for a nerve test of my lower legs and he said something was attacking my nerves in my lower legs. He did not know what and wanted to do a spinal tap. I HAVE NOT HAD THAT DONE. I am scared to death of that. Wanted to send me to a doctor in Houston for a 2nd opinion if that is what I wanted to do. I told him about
my lower back but he did not seem to care.
This is where I stand now
Buzzing in feet. Tingeing electrical feeling in feet at times.
Soles of feet will burn at times.
Various body twitches. When my eyelids start to twitch, they will twitch forever. Random facial muscle twitches. My legs will twitch when I lay down.
A lot of eye floaters that come and go. Sometime looks like a heat blur in my vision. I will see phantom object in my vision and small bright spots that look like a lightning bug for a split second. I have seen eye doctor. All is fine according to them
Random bouts of dizziness for no reason. I have had no MRI of my brain.
Mental brain fog
Random head aches.
Did I mentions panic attacks.
Random body aches and joint aches.
I had a lyme test done early on but all was done was the ELISA and came back negative
I am still wondering about
what that rash was on my finger. Will I benefit form setting up an appointment with a LLMD. I have found one that is about
3hrs away from me. I am just about
ready to call him and make an appointment be cause I am going in circles where I am at now. I have anxiety tagged on my records and they want to start feeding anxiety and anti depressants drugs down my throat now.
Yea I have anxiety because I have no clue what is going on inside my body.
All these symptoms wax and wane. When they flare up, so does my anxiety.
I apologize again for my long first post. I am lost and my marriage is no fun anymore because of what happening to me.
Thanks for looking and reading if you do.
Medication. Pantoprazole 40 MG for acid reflux. Hydroxyzine HCL 10 MG at night. Prescribe by a doctor for my so called anxiety problems.
