Opiods are losing effectiveness quickly. Major herxheimer in addition to vary high level of baseline pain. 11 months of antibitocs capped off by metronidazole and azithromycin has seemlying permanantely increased my baseline pain a great deal. Even after 5 months off the pain remained high.

Restarted doxycycline, which now gives me a strong herxheimer whereas it did not before. Opiods are quickly losing their effect. Antiepileptics are fairly useless. Have major burning and stinging in my arms which lasts and lasts.

Detox has been useless. From large amounts of Vitamin C, antioxidant, gluthione, curcumin, teas and juices, acupunclture,

Have had concurrent infections with lyme, anaplasmosis, erlichea, and my llmd thinks I have a double whammy with aspergillus infection that is colonized in me(have not yet been able to start itraconazole because insurance hold up).

PLESE need your help immediately. Thank you, Jon

are you doing coffee enamas to pull the toxins out.?

If you are on pain meds and getting constipation you will be
in pain in every inch of your body from toxic back up.

any type laxatives? colon cleanses.

what pain meds do you take now.
straight oxycodone is for breakthrough pain. NOT the time release.

But remember all pain meds constipate and we have got to always be keeping things moving out.

coffee enema is a pain killer too.

Hi clasam aka Jon,

Do you think you may be addicted to the opioids?  If so, I suggest putting yourself in a detox place and get off the opioids as they are very addicting (I went out with a guy who was addicted to them).

In my non-medical opinion, you won't be able to heal yourself from the lyme until you stop taking the opioids.  When these drugs wear off, the pain is usually much worse.

Keep it simple and take care of the opioid problem first.  Once you do that (if you want to do it), then you can go after the lyme bacteria.

I really feel for you as addiction is a huge problem (I am a recovering alcoholic myself since 1985 so I know about addiction and it stinks!)...

If you are in that much pain, please go to the ER.

Hang in there, we are here for you,

Denise

Thanks for your responses

1. not on coffee enemas, but am regular and go at least once a day with no problems. Have had no problems with constipation. My doctor put me on cholestyramine and glutathione/Vitamin C for detox, but has shown no improvement, so I don't think toxins are the problem.

2. I have stopped opioids several times without any addiction issues and additionally am on naltrexone, which is an opioid antagonist. I have been very careful to avoid excessive opioids. At this point, its a moot point since the only remaining partially effective medicine, Fentanyl, interferes with my anti fungal, so I am no longer on it.

I have recently read about a Yale researcher who found bacterial remnants in joints of mice that had been successfully treated for the spirochette form of lyme, but still had inflamed joints. The researchers believe that these bacterial remnants are causing an immune response that was causing arthiritis.

Although my joints are okay, I believe I may have a similar situation going on in my soft tissues, which may be the reason why my base line pain level became so elevated. Seems like the previously hidden bacteria is now sounding the red alert with my immune system, and even though the bacteria is dead, my body is still attacking itself.

Anybody have any thoughts or ideas on dealing with something like this? thanks

Have you tried oral, inhaled or IV glutathione? That helps my pain significantly. Also, believe it or not, sometimes when I have extreme pain in all my muscles or joints, forcing exercise and drinking something very salty (like a large amount of V8) helps a lot. I've also tried alka seltzer gold with mild success.

Detoxing is always an issue, Clasam. There have been a small handful of Lyme Literate Practitioners that have made the connection between the toxins that the bacterias give off during their life cycle and when they die that increase the amount and the severity of our symptoms.

Are you also dry skin brushing, and using the Epsom Salt and peroxide soaks? There are a couple of detoxing formulas that Dr David Jernigan has created that have helped many people as well - You can order just his "Neuro-Antitox" formulas without having to buy any of his other products. Here is a link, should you wish to look into it:

They don't seem to work for all who use them, but nothing else does when dealing with these infections, so it's worth checking into in my opinion!

Please do continue to use all the detoxing methods that you have been using, as many who have these infections long term have very real, very serious issues with detoxing. It's like the body forgets how to for some of us. I was one of those too.
