I was diagnosed with acute lyme 1 month ago.  I have cardiac systems and strange pains in my jaw, neck and face.  I also feel shaky and have bouts of crying...and i'm not a cryer (haven't cried in about 8 yrs)  I as given the 3 weeks of docy but my symptoms are not gone.  I now have these weird bumps under my skin.  I was sent to a cardio who said its not vascular is my electrical system and to go see a infections disease specil.  The IDS said to go back to the cardio.  I'm left feeling helpless so here i am.

Welcome to the forum!

Sorry to hear that you have gotten the run around like that. Sometimes it seems that doctors are just not interested in really helping.

For information on finding a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor(LLMD) in your area, please email our long time member, Dan's Mother at:
phassan@optonline.net
If you'd like more doctor suggestions, you can email stephanie at: stephanie@turnthecorner.org You can also go to: www.turnthecorner.org/bod.htm if you want to learn a little bit more about Lyme Disease.

You can also go to The Lyme Disease Association and search for LLMD's 3 times in a month. You have to register first. Here is the link: www.lymediseaseassociation.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=277&Itemid=74

You will want to find an ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) doctor. The ILADS site is a great place to read to get you started on your Lyme journey.
www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/treatment_guidelines_clearing_ilads.html

Our members will probably have some suggestions for you. You will need to enable the email option in your profile so they can contact you.

It sounds like you are in the southern central part of NH. I know someone who sees a LLMD in Amherst. There is also one in Concord. (I see a LLND in Wolfeboro but that might be too far north for you.) There are a couple NH support groups you can reach out to as well that can help you with recommendations. Search on-line and find the Manchester one - I hear from folks that the gentleman who coordinates that one is a huge help to people. There is also one in Laconia - Lyme 411.

Best of luck to you finding someone.

No kidding. How could I get the name of that doctor? I know we are advised not to post them on forums. I am in Dallas presently but live around the corner from Amherst, NH. Amazing.

A lady I met in a store in N. Conway who goes there. Not sure the name of the doc but pretty sure it is a woman. If you google "Lyme doctor, Amherst, NH" it does come up with an ND who I have heard good things about from other people so probably a really good possibility that it is her.

Okay, that makes sense. I know of the ND there, but no LLMD that I now of except the doc in Concord. I heard he is very good also.
