I was doing o.k. this past week. I'm still not detoxing great but spending more time doing yoga, trying to sweat raking leaves and going to the gym to sit in the sauna. I had to abandon the baths but recently started the foot baths. After one soak for the recommended 30 mins I was herxing through the roof. about 2 hours later I was better.

I have spoken to multiple massage therapists about this essential oil raindrop technique and I decided to try it on Friday. It's supposed to be able to kill bacteria including lyme. I felt fantastic when I left there. My feet are always cold and they were finally warm. I could taste the oils in my mouth even though I didn't ingest them. It was crazy. I took a great afternoon nap and then a few hours later I was sooooo anxious, my feet were killing me, my pain below my right ribs was through the roof, my eyes got super dry, my shoulder blades were hurting and my breast tissue started to kill. I am not pmsing or anything like that and my hormones are normal.

I then got more anxious and had a ton of rage. I was irritated at everything. I eventually fell asleep after freaking out about the fact that I was convinced I had breast cancer because my breast was hurting. It was very irrational thought but I go to this place with my anxiety. Then this morning, I woke up still with anxiety and struggled all day. I was about to break down from shaking in the store today. I was just fighting to get out of my head and not want to tell the crying baby in the store to shut up.

The issue for me is that I'm a peaceful person. I'm often described as a peace maker, mediator and very laid back. This rage and anxiety is not me. I know I have bart and these are symptoms of bart for the most part. Could it really be that I'm herxing from this treatment? The LMT contacted me today via email to see how I was doing and see if I was herxing. I haven't heard back from her but I would say YES I think I am.

I went into the sauna after dry brushing, I'm taking some new homeopathic detoxing supplements and took some activated charcoal earlier and seem to be feeling better. Just curious if anyone else has had this experience? Am I crazy? Has anyone experienced this doing something other then a raindrop massage? I haven't changed any of my supplements or abx in weeks so I don't think it has anything to do with that. All I can think is a herx from the massage or I'm going crazy. Maybe there's another explanation.

And by the way, when you get this anxiety, does it mean that you are killing the bad buggers or that they are alive and thriving? This was so intense I was just scared of who I was based on what I was feeling. I don't think anyone knew what was going on inside of me but I did.

By the way, my feet have been very toasty today (opposite of normal), my hands haven't been cold - a common complaint of by my family, and I took my temp and it was 98.6. I haven't seen past 97.2 (usually 96.8) unless I'm sick with strep throat and that is often coming in at 98.8. Is this a good sign that my body temp is rising and fighting? I just hope this is all worth the crappy feeling so far.

I dont know about all what u r going through

just the part, that I once was known as a peacemaker, I was really into yoga for years, and went to several ashrams in india to do yoga for two months, everyday.
I was into reiki, meditation, going to spa, wearing essential oil, doing mantras,
loving, patient, kind,

and then.... lymes bart.
and I have trashed my house when I first got sick.

I felt like I was possessed, I felt like the incredible hulk like, something in my body making me 'crazd". I knew somethign of course was very wrong, my friends asked if I was drinking, doing drugs, all of the sudden.
something I dont do. They just did not understand, nor did I, why I was behaving like a totally dif. person.

this is the worst disease, it is out of a sci fi book
a true nightmare

I am so sorry what all u r going through, but I am grateful for your post
it helps me, know for sure, I am not alone in this heck. u r not either.
there is nothing else I can do, except listen, I hear u.
blessings to u,

Thanks hope2bhealthy. I am happy to hear that the crazd feeling isn't totally off the wall. Everything is just heightened right now. My daughter was screaming in the car 5 seconds after a loud fire truck drove by. My head was ringing and it just hurt inside. All of my muscles are spasming right now. I have these sharp burning pains in my ribs, chest and back that come and go out of no where. I will keep on trying to get my body calmed down. Clearly I have some work to do. Thanks for your support and sharing some of your story!

Yep! Any kind of "treatment" has the potential to set off a herx! If it can create those toxins by killing off bacteria, or if it can help release those toxins that are being stored in your muscles or organs, it can create a herx. I've never heard of raindrop therapy massage before, but I do know that essential oils, massages and other things like that can most certainly set off a herx!

As for whether or not the anxiety you are feeling is due to a herx or the active infection, it would be hard for anyone to say. A person must take into account all of the accompanying info - like what has been going on with your symptoms- and to understand what all you've been doing for treatment and support of your body. So that's best left for a doc to decide, but a wild guess would be that if you have had a sudden increase in your anxiety at the same time as the herx, it could easily be part of a herx.

Keep on doing all that you can to clear those toxins! Please be sure to let us know how you are doing.
