When I first started trying to do the dry skin brushing, I had to start off with a wet washcloth and do the brushing while my skin was wet because it was sooo sensitive! At that point I couldn't even wear clothes daily!!
So you are on the right track! You need to desensitize your skin a bit is all. I would suggest that you wet the washcloth, rough it's fibers up a bit and allow to air dry. Use this to dry brush as it's a bit rougher. If you can't tolerate it yet, don't worry, just keep on using it! Although there's no need to press too hard, I would suggest that you rub only hard enough to get that 'roughed up' feeling on your skin.
Keep on doing the dry brushing, even with just a wash cloth, as any help we give our skin to shed that dead skin and
open up to expel toxins is that much more help in our healing!
You're doing great!!
