That is a good question. Sometimes I find it hard to attribute changes to any one thing when doing so many things at the same time. Of course life is complicated and doesn't give us one thing to deal with at a time either so my most recent downturn a few weeks back might have had as much to do with my thyroid being off as the Lyme and the stress of taking care of a friend who was dying from cancer.
Back to the antibiotics - I know that when I have been off them, I have gotten worse. My antibiotics journey hasn't been easy tho. Several have made me sick, a couple knocked my White Blood Cells into the cellar. The one's I'm on now maintain things but are known to have a high failure rate. My ND is thinking about
which ones we might try next. He is at ILIADS conference as we speak so I'm curious to hear if he comes back with any new ideas.
I hear you on the sleep. My ND gives me an herbal blend called Best Rest that I take 3-5 days a week which helps. I was getting completely exhausted - deep fatigue during the day but unable to nap or sleep well - classic stupid Lyme symptom.
With feeling a bit better, I have been trying to focus on wellness rather than the Lyme - taking a break from researching Lyme stuff. It just gets too depressing, yes? The shift in focus seems to be taking the edge off the anxiety & depression. EFT helps too.
