Well last nt I received my MELISA results as follows:
Borrelia garinii p41-Antigen Internal Fragment
P41 IF gar 4.25 +
Borrelia burgdorferi senso stricto p41-Antigen Internal Fragment
P41 IF ses 3.55 +
P41 IF ses2 3.06 +
Can see lots of morphology negatives on report.
Comment on page 1, says "There were small activated macrophages found."
Comment on page 2, says " No immuno response to the antigens tested and no indication of an active lyme borreliosis infection by strains of Borrelia afzelil, B. garinlil or B. Burgdorferi sensu stricto.
I'm a bit confused as my Igenex results showed
IgM Was positive by Igenex and CDC/NYS
IgG Was negative by Igenex and CDC/NYS
Last week when I received my Igenex results, I was feeling really positive thinking okay great I haven't been going mad these symptoms are real.
But now looking at the MELISA, I'm now thinking oh no am I back to square one. I just wanted to know what it was, hopefully treat correctly and focus on getting better and back to work.
Maybe I had it and its gone?? I remember him saying before I had the blood tests "It maybe that you have had it and this is the damage...."
I am yet to see him to discuss the results so I know I need to see him, but any thoughts.
Thank you for reading xxx
