Ditto what the others have said. I don't think it is worth the money, time, and potential aggravation - not to mention all the tests they'll likely subject you to, and possible medications administered that may impair your immune system further...
I tried this by going to Mayo in 2004...what a big, huge waste of time!!! They couldn't even correctly figure out that I did NOT fit the criteria for IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) or depression, yet they wanted me in treatment for both -- probably because they had no idea what was really causing my problems.
Granted, I did not know I had Lyme/co's at the time, but they should have been able to at least acknowledge that they did not know what was wrong, rather than giving me diagnoses that clearly did not fit my symptoms!
So bottom line, I would not wait any longer to schedule with an LLMD and get the ball rolling on treatment...the longer you fool around with inexperienced or uneducated "opinions," the less resources you may have and the longer your healing journey may take...
