I see that Shabbychic and I are on the same wavelength concerning the advice to have adrenals and thyroid checked.
If at all possible, I would seek to find the source of the problem, rather than trying to reduce your daily caloric intake down from what already seems like a very reasonable level. I can certainly understand your concern. My wife has recently enrolled in "Weightwatchers," and wants to lose 20 lbs.
I could stand to lose 20 lbs myself. In my case, I don't think that adrenals are the problem. I just need to stop my late night snacking while I am moderating this forum! I confess that I am thinking right now about
going downstairs and taking a look in the pantry for a snack. One time when I could not find any snacks in the house, I ate an entire 12 oz. bag of Nestle chocolate chips. I hated myself afterwards!
I wish you well in your endeavor.
We are older parents and Heather is our only child. She became so sick and debilitated that we thought that she was going to die, and everything looked so hopeless and bleak. However, God answered our prayers, and used the healing hands of Dr. J. at the Hansa Center to more than restore the health of our precious daughter. I have a moral obligation to help others that are likewise suffering!
