I have been digging around online with simple searches such as "bartonella cure", "bartonella cured". I am yet to find someone who claims they had Bartonella, treated it, and it never returned without ongoing meds or herbals. Is this correct? Has anyone been "cured" in the sense that we get "cured" from a common cold infection never to return without any further need for intervention? If so, I am reading that anecdotally some claim 24 months of IV antibiotics is required. Can anyone elaborate on this. Gratefully!
I don't know a lot of people with lyme personally (excluding the forum members) - I'm in BC Canada...
But, I have been emailing with a lady who was a lyme group facilitator here in BC and she treated Bartonella/lyme for something like 2 1/2 years and is in remission.
She has been in remission for 2 years (if I'm remembering correctly)
I also know someone who has been in remission for 4 years now. She never tested positive for bartonella...but it was suspected and she treated lyme and bart. She treated for less than a year...but she was sick for under a year I think.
There are forum members over the years who have healed their infections....including bartonella.
No, iv abx aren't usually required. The two I mentioned above did not have IV abx.
