This is really exciting. I've often wondered how everyone has been doing.

Wow. I just re-watched this yesterday because I finally got my husband to watch it and I wanted my memory to be fresh so we could discuss it. The first time I watched it I thought how curious it was that Dr. McDonald suddenly came down with Alzheimer's. But more accurately, the film credits said he was diagnosed with an "Alzheimer-like disease". WTH does that mean??? Sounds like they are making sh*& up and I really wonder what his wife thinks and if it ever occurred to her that he was deliberately sickened?

I'm not normally a conspiracy theorist, but that was way too coincidental for my taste. UNLESS in the update they say he had it previously and it just wasn't disclosed during the first film. But otherwise, that is very sketchy to say the least.

I'm so glad we will have the opportunity to see how everyone is doing since the film. Most of it was so heartwrenching!!

I can't quite remember where I read this; I think it could have been at the end of an updated version of "Under Our Skin". It said Allan had been diagnosed with an Alzheimer's -like illness, but found out later he had been misdiagnosed.

I wonder if he was infected while dissecting the infected brains or during other phases of his research. (But I also wonder if he was threatened for publicly sharing his findings.)

It made me think of this interview with Dr. Willy Burgdorfer:

http://www.underourskin.com/news/lyme-discoverer-willy-burgdorfer-breaks-silence-heated-controversy

When Andy Abrahams Wilson asked Dr. Burgdorfer if he had Lyme, Dr. B. said, "No, but I say that cautiously because I have been working with Lyme since 1981."

Also, the very end of that interview, coupled with what happened at the beginning, gives me the chills. We're not getting the whole story.

Yeah, what better way to discredit someone than to have them die of a deteriorating brain.

When does under our skin 2 come out? I couldn't see a date, or maybe I just missed it? I can't wait to see it. What a great film for awareness. I need to rewatch the first one!

Blue, that interview is disturbing. Especially the end of it. He's getting old now. I wish he would tell everything he knows before he dies. Or write it down and give it to someone he trusts.
