the antibiotic challenge protocol for getting a more accurate test result.
Also, the Advanced Labs test is a culture test. The lab puts your blood into a Lyme friendly broth (i.e., food for Lyme) and lets it sit for 2 weeks. If any Lyme grows, you get a positive result.
If negative at 2 weeks, they leave it sit for another couple months and then look at it again. If any Lyme has grown, you get a positive test.
A negative result does not mean you do not have Lyme (there may have been no spirochetes in the blood sample sent to the lab), but a positive result is absolute confirmation you have Lyme.
I don't know if there are any parameters about
if one needs to be off antibiotics for the culture test...it is very new and I don't know much about
