Hello,
After feeling awful since this afternoon, I just threw up 40-45 minutes after taking my evening dose of mino and Lyrica. I saw really jumbo, fluffy-looking pill forms in my vomit. I haven't taken my evening dose of omnicef or septra ds yet.
Should I still take the omnicef and septra? Do you think the Lyrica and mino were absorbed? This is the 2nd Wednesday out of 2 weeks of MWF pulsing treatment that I've thrown up. And I'm scheduled to take Flagyl tmw and Fri...
Thanks

I would stick to your schedule and not miss the evening dose. I would treat the vomiting episode as a missed dose and follow the instruction on the package inserts of the Mino and Lyrica for a missed dose.

I hope that you are feeling better!

I have this problem when I start a new medicine. Personally, if it has been longer than 30 mins I do not re-take the medicine. Luckily I only seem to throw up the first one or two times I take the meds and then I'm fine. I hope you feel better!

I read somewhere online that if it is under 30 mins to retake and over 30 mins do not take.

Opugirl, I really appreciate your help. I am looking up the packaging insert information and may even call the pharmacy about these specific drugs.

It is good to know that for you the vomiting issue was short-lived after introducing a new medicine. I really hope that the same will be true for me as well. I just ate dinner -- you know you're starving when you throw up twice and still want to eat -- and will take the omnicef and septra. Fingers crossed.

Thank you again.

Have you been taking mino for a while? It made me so sick, I could not take it. I took it about a week and could barely eat after that time. Doctor switched me to something else. Otherwise it would still be a good idea to check in with your md tomorrow and find out what they think or have to say about this happening.

Thanks, scooterscooter. I will definitely call them tmw. Will let you know what they say.

Are you eating something just before you take the Mino? We take such large doses of abx that we really need to protect out stomachs.

If this continues, you do need to talk with your doctor - you can't keep throwing up all the time!!!
