I'm actually going to start using it this week but as a tea :
(I ordered the root). My herbalist told me to only drink a half cup in the morning and the rest at night because it is very strong.

I pray I don't herx too bad. Let me know how you do on it binduspire.

Thanks, TheWryter. I am probably going to wait a bit before adding it to the mix. I start treatment this week, so I'm going slow. Let's keep each other posted :)

Hey Binduspire, I started it on Saturday night. It is the Sasparilla Root (Jamaican). I put 2 teaspoons in a pot of 8 oz of water and let it simmer for 20 minutes. I drink half a cup in the morning and the other half at night (all by the instructions of my herbalist). I will say I do feel a difference. It's like I'm being cleaned out and the areas most effected have been pinpointed. So I'm taking it one day at a time. A couple of old symptoms have returned which meant they were lying dormant and being addressed finally! When you are interested I can tell you where I bought my Sasparilla.

The good news is that its very bland (doesn't taste disgusting). Just sip it very slowly.

Hi Kayla, I have taken it every day, 2x a day. The taste is very bearable and I sip it slowly. The first few days I drank it the soles of my feet were sore (Bartonella), I had an increase of muscle spasms, the anxiety was a little increased but I managed. So some symptoms are being brought to the forefront. This is the start of week #2. Today I have some spasms but they are bearable. The herxing is very light compared to other stuff. So I will keep up with it and see how I do. I also use teasel root tincture too and I can feel when that is taking effect too. Again it's been beaable and I appreciate not being thrown into a crazy herx.

Thankyou, nice to hear it tastes okay. All these things we have to get used to tasting and swallowing. :-/

You're welcome...healing sometimes doesn't feel great but I'm only into week #2 and I will keep going. :)

Hi Shoobie,

Thanks for posting all that information. I wondered if you found research studies that show the toxic damage done by taking antibiotics. I am very interested in this but having difficulties finding specific studies on this topic.

Thanks so much!

Thanks for that link. It was interesting. I knew that the antibiotics were taking my mother down. They would just knock her flat whenever she had to be on one for her chronic bladder infections. She would get to where she couldn't feed herself and had a hard time swallowing. I wish she had been checked for Lyme disease to see if that was part of her problems (or all).
