I've been on biaxin 500mg 2 x day now almost 3 weeks. Today about an hour after taking afternoon dose I got a few small itchy bumps on chest & shoulders & face. Doesn't look like the allergic reaction I had to bactrim several months ago. Is it just dead bacteria coming out through skin? Anyone else get w abx?

Yes I did have it Shelly esp after taking a bath. It just passed with time. I read you can take Benadryl if it bothers you too much. If it persists you may want to call your doctor.

Thanks, barn girl...it's not really bothering me, but I worry about taking next dose tomorrow. My mind always defaults to worse case scenario :(

Mine amounted to nothing other than similar worrying like you are. I also read it can be a form of herxing and interpreted as a positive sign of a die off.

I get those off abx. They come in streaks where I'll get them daily for weeks and then poof gone for maybe years before they return. I think it's Bart because it's known to cause skin issues and rashes.
