Tinctures are usually made of 1/2 alcohol and 1/2 water, so out of the 90 drops that you would take, figure that it would equal about
45 drops of alcohol. Since there are 120 drops of water to a teaspoon, that would mean that you are getting just over 1/4 tsp of alcohol total
. So I agree with you on the Kava kava - nothing to worry about
With your anxiety being bad, have you had a 24 hour saliva test for your adrenals? Low functioning adrenals can really slow your healing, as the body is trying to deal with the ups and downs of the adrenal glands and their production, rather than solely healing from these diseases.
I sure don't like to see anyone who can avoid it to use Benzo's as they can really create a horrible dependence for the body. I took mine for 5 years because it was one that was diagnosed to help me sleep and worked. Now, almost 2 years (I'm pretty sure) into the weaning off of it, I'm soooo sorry that I ever started! Benzo's can actually cause the brain to re-wire itself, so it takes a long time to come off as the brain has to re-wire itself once again in order to deal with life without the drug!
What has helped my anxiety the most is Avena Sativa tincture - yep another tincture!! LOL! But it also has helped tremendously with nerve pain, tingling, burning too. If you get this, be sure that it's oats taken in the 'milky' stage and that it's not just tinctured oat straw. There's a big difference!
With all of that being said though - don't suffer with anxiety!!! Use what you need to so that you can heal!
Please be sure to let us know how you are doing from time to time!!
