It really sounds like you are herxing which is both good and bad! LOL! The reason it's good is that means that it's working - killing off the bacteria. The 'bad' is because it makes you feel worse! Are you detoxing? Even though most doc's aren't taught about
detoxing, it's incredibly important because our bodies get overwhelmed by the toxins once you start killing them off with treatments.
We have great detoxing instructions to get you started in the "New to Lyme?" thread that sits at the top of the forum. Please read through and get started right away.
In my previous post, you can see that I posted this "Amox must be combined with Probenecid at 500 mgs every 8 hours..." Easy enough to miss though since it's in the middle of a paragraph. What I should have included was that it was according to Dr. Joseph Burrascano's recommendations in his paper, "Advanced Topics in Lyme Disease". You can find a link to it in the "New to Lyme?" thread as well.
Stick to what your doctor is recommending for the Probenecid though - he has a specific course of treatment in mind that he hopefully developed just for you based on your specific situation. By altering his protocol for you, you could complicate your healing.
With that being said, detoxing is a separate issue than changing around abx dosages. By taking the Neuro Antitox II, you are helping your body to detox better, so please do start taking it, just remember, start on a very low dose to begin with and work your way up to higher doses as you can tolerate it. You will still need to use things like Epsom Salt/peroxide soaks though, to help usher those toxins out of the body.
