Cortisone is a steriod, not an anti-inflammatory, and considering she is married to someone who has Lyme, - you should most definitely have her thoroughly checked for these diseases. Not only for the possibility that she could have gotten it from you, but she could have gotten it on her own as well - I'm sure you two have been in the same places a lot!!
Please get her in to see a LLMD and let us know how she is doing!

From what I have read:
Cortisone is a powerful anti-inflammatory medication. Cortisone is not a pain relieving medication, it only treats the inflammation.
I took Methyl PredniSolone for my inflammation which helped the symptom at hand, but also made other symptoms worse. Cortisone could have reduced inflammation by surprising the immune system, therefore giving Lyme free reign, just like with any steroid.
08/12 - LabCorp WB Lyme positive for bands 23/41, but CDC negative
12/12 - Diagnosed with Remit/Relapse MS (lesions and sensory numbness)
10/13 - Igenex/CDC Lyme Positive - 23-25, 31+++, 34, 39, 41+++, 83-93
