I did the body pump yesterday morning. I didn't put any weights on my bar for when we used the bar, and I used light hand weights for when we needed them. I repeated each exercise as much as possible - but whenever I felt pain that I thought was different to "muscle use" pain, I would stop and wait for the next exercise to join in again. In this way, the class was quite manageable and not too bad. However, it was the crunches at the end that caused me trouble. I accidentally put too much pressure through my neck, and it's been really bad ever since (it's been bad for the last few years anyway, but now it's so much worse and still the pain is increasing). Post-exercise, I did feel some burning and weakness in my legs, more than usual - but that only seemed to be because I had a good workout, and wasn't the kind of pain that I normally get. My post-exercise symptoms may get worse later on (that's what my sister reckons happens to her), so I'll update you guys again later. I might just avoid the crunches altogether next week.
