This has been driving me crazy for almost a year now! Diagnosed with hamstring tendonitis.... July 2013.. Then got really sick in December. Finally diagnosed with Lyme in January. On doxy 2 months. Didn't do much. Then saw LL doc. He thinks it's also Babesia causing my hamstring pain. Now on Mepron and clarithromycin ... Been 6 weeks. Still all kinds of symptoms... Hamstrings and buttocks still hurt as well. I used to workout and run marathons!! Nothing now! Ugh!! Anyone with tendonitis in hamstrings? Also had a crazy reaction to nail polish remover the other day... My whole body got cold... Got chills and tingling in my head too..chemical sensitivity??

I used to have tremendous pain in hamstrings and also long muscle along front of each leg (can't remember muscle name). It finally "got better" but no clue as to why. Occasionally it will flair, but not often. I too had been a runner - no more. I do get physical therapy for "general muscle issues" and I do lots of stretching exercises every day. PT wants me to get into yoga - trying to find a way to do that as well. Do you have access to a PT or massage therapist who could give you an assessment or exercises? Sorry I'm not more help. I empathize wit your pain.

Before i was diagnosed with lyme Had been through 10 weeks of physical therapy ... I still do my recommended stretching religiously and get massage therapy every two weeks still. My massage therapist recommended yoga as well. My legs ache and are stiff. My butt also has pain and sometimes feels like I'm sitting on a block of ice. I have all kinds of other crazy symptoms too. I hate this disease. Back to the doctor next week

I got tendinitis in my elbows. My butt and legs hurt all the time, butt started about 4 yrs ago. I never was a big runner but worked out doing calisthenics and spinning classes forever.

I've been sick for 15 yrs and had to stop the gym back then in the beginning of my infection and then started swimming when we moved to FL. Then later I joined a gym and have always had problems with muscles cramping since the infection.

Hope you feel better soon.

I had hamstring pain for YEARS. When I tried to stretch my hamstrings, I could literally hear what sounded like muscle fibers tearing (little clicking sounds). I've had tendon pain with this too... especially the tendons that run from the pelvis down to the inside of the knees.

I had some good results using a couple of drops of Young Living Thieves Oil under the tongue, every day for almost a year. The hamstrings / tendons hurt a lot less now but, I've rotated on to new and interesting / disabling symptoms.

Tendonitis was / is my worse symptom. (temporary blindness was , but thankfully that never came back). I wish this forum had mini forums with in it on specific subject matter. There are many posts on tendon and muscle pain. I,ve mentined this on several other related posts.

Pyhsical therapy, chiropractic, - do that all you want but with minimal results. To make the prior more effective you need to break down muscle adhesions and knots FIRST. Goggle Active Release Technique and find a provider because it works. Apply magnesium lotion after treatments. Stretch and do very light wieghts to rebuild muscle after the knots and adhesions are gone. NOTE: this is not recomended if your on any ABX that are known to cause tendinitis.

Myofacial release works better when knots and adhesions are gone too - you tube this foe glutes(but). Sit / roll on a hard ball no bigger than a base ball for 5 min at a time. It takes that long for knots to melt away, hurts first, feels better after 5 min.

this should help a lot , but not eliminate untill the infection is gone.
