My stance on MS, Fibro, and also RA will not change. I believe something (virus, bacteria, infection) causes the body to act out of character and display weird symptoms and doctors are in disbelief about Lyme so they dx patients with something else. Years ago, Lyme was ONLY thought to cause knee inflammation, well RA also has a symptom of knee inflammation. Many "diseases" have weird symptoms and most of those "diseases" share the exact same symptoms with Lyme patients. I think Lyme will get it's time in the sun considering the CDC rose their statistics to 300,000 from 30,000 yearly infections.
Anyone in this forum can relate to your symptoms and if you search the web you will see many, MANY symptoms associated with Lyme. Just like MS, no two patients display the exact same symptoms. I had a bad gait, deep muscle pain, sensory numbness, blurred vision, etc... but was not confident with an MS dx. I had a "borderline" Lyme test which was enough proof to research Lyme.
I understand you are stressed to the max and looking for answers, I was as well at the time of my dx, but YOU have an important FACT sitting right in front of you... a positive BLOOD test for Lyme. If I were you, I would treat Lyme like it needs to be treated, as long as it needs to be treated and see if you feel better.
