From the recommendations of some wonderful people on this board, I am seeing a LLMD whom I really like a lot. For the last month, he just had me on A-L Complex. For the most part, I did pretty well, but it really brought out Bart/Babs symptoms. (red hot painful feet, rashes on legs, hot flashes, anxiety, vibrations in hands). For the most part, my brain fog is pretty good, as well as the "heavy leg" feeling, which were two of the most bothersome symptoms.
I just saw him today for my one month follow up, and review of recent labs. The results that stand out are: CD57, (59)
vitamin b high (1080)
vitamin d low (38).
On top of that, I found out I'm compound heterozygous for the MTHFR mutation.
He said he went to a conference last week in Hershey, PA, and a famous dr (I forget the name) was talking about a different pulse approach with Zithromax and Flagyl, that has some promising effects. I will be starting this combo on Monday.
He also has me starting new herbals. They are:
-Resveratrol (100 mg twice a day)
-SBC (Saccharomyces Boulardii) one a day (on top of the probiotics I already take)
-C3 - curcumin Complex (400 mg twice a day)
-5-MTHR (10mg twice a day)
-continue taking the A-L complex twice a day
I am just starting my journey into treatment, and of course this is all scary and overwhelming. Thank God I did research (mostly from this board) so I know what he's talking about. My question is, should I incorporate all the different herbals slowly? He basically said I should start them all, all at once!
I should also add I have high blood pressure (came out of the blue this year, have always been healthy/no family history of hbp), which I take Metoprolol and hczt for, and I'm scared to death all of the meds/herbals will affect that as well.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!
