New to Lyme Formum but not Lyme itself

Hi Everyone, I am new to the Lyme section of Healing Well forums and just wanted to introduce myself.
I've been using Healing well forums for years and love the connection.

I found out recenlty that I have Lyme when my Igenex test came back positive. For the past 16 years i've been misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome!!!! 16 years of needless suffering if my original doctor didn't write me off when my regular western blot came back negative after a positive ELISA.

More recently I have been arguing with all my doctors who don't believe in chronic lyme disease. Even my "integrative doctor" who is non traditional!!!! Last week I finally saw a LLMD 4 hours from me that my friend got me in to see.

I started on a coctail of 3 antibiotics. I am also doing a lot of detoxing and getting the assistance of a biofeedback person who is very knowledgable about Lyme. So begins my journey.

Now I'll be switching from the fibro forum to the lyme forum.

Welcome to the Lyme forum Susan! I'm sorry you've gotten the runaround like too many Lyme patients get. Hopefully you'll be helped by the doctors who accept that you have Lyme.
