Like Chapelle said, it takes time to heal.
I was also thinking about
coinfections, Bartonella for instance can cause a lot of stomach issues.
I have a long history of stomach and intestinal problems (about
17 years I think, caused by Lyme) and I have to say that I tolerated Doxy rather well, keeping the advice of my pharmacist in mind.
Also: try to avoid sugar, coffee, alcohol, tomatoes, spicy food, just to avoid irritating your stomach as much as possible.
Lyme/Bartonella/Yersinia/Chlamydia Pn. Sick for +/- 20 years (34 now).
Started treatment August 2012 with 15 months of abx - now on a modified Cowden Protocol since December 2013. Leaky gut, heavy metals, EBV, XMRV, erythema nodosum, Hodgkin's Lymphoma at 15, Lyme arthritis, Neurolyme, food allergies/intolerances, histamine/chemical intolerance
