Artichoke (globe, not Jerusalem) is a good substitute for Milk Thistle if you have fatty liver & can't handle the sulfur...
for the protocol for all methylation SNP's.
Personal experience with the CBS mutation:
Molybdenum, Magnesium, Zinc, Vitamin B12 (hydroxy or methyl, depending on your COMT & VDR status), & iron (only if deficient) are helpful for supporting the sulfur processing that is overloaded with the CBS mutation.
If I get exposed to too much sulfur, I take extra Vitamin B12 & Molybdenum to help compensate.
Also, those with CBS & MTHFR A1298C variants need help with ammonia (which is a Lyme toxin). I've got both, so I find help from a small amount of Yucca Root taken daily. Dr. Yasko also recommends charcoal + magnesium flushes weekly to clear excess ammonia. Instructions are in Chapter 6 at the above link.
