It's a two edged sword - if you try to quit smoking while you are trying to heal from Lyme, you are adding more (quite a bit some days) of the dreaded stress to our lives. Stress brings down the immune system and lowers our ability to heal.
Smoking will harm our health, plus lowers our immunity - but I don't know which is worse.
I was able to quit smoking while I was in the very early stages of treatment. I wanted to be a non-smoker for my son's wedding.
