I think you took way too much! I would have taken 1/8 of a tsp to start with and work my way up. Chlorella is a detox agent and taking too much, if there are a lot of toxins in your body, will cause a reaction for sure--and not a nice one. I think detoxing should be done slowly and gently. Also, studies show that 20% of the population doesn't tolerate chlorella. If you are one of them, taking a teaspoon to start with, will cause a heck of a problem. Since it sounds like you have the powder, if I were you, I would try it in much smaller doses.
I think Chlorella is good, but too much of a good think is not always good. Slow increments would be the way to go, just like with everything else. Also, it is known that Chlorella may cause stomach discomfort in some people. I took a pill and nothing happened--but it wasn't worth a teaspoon of Chlorella. I intend to include it in my daily regimen as a multivitamin and detoxer soon, but in small doses, so I don't shake too many toxins out at once. No one that does this feels good!
