I know there was some on here that were interested in FL1953 / Protomyxzoa Rheumatica.

I took a second Fry test because my symptoms are persisting and you can see FL1953 in my biofilm clear as day!!! Crazy. I was frustrated but relieved I can actually see it in front of me after many DRs saying I have nothing.

Bartonella can also be seen. I am one of the strange ones that doesn't have much Lyme.

It would make sense for me because when I first got sick it was not a gradual sickness. It was like a bomb was dropped on me. FL1953 is a parasite along the lines of malaria. It is tick, flea, mosquito borne.

The plan of attack for me at the moment for FL1953 remove biofilm defense through enzymes or diet, then anti parasites, and detox like crazy because herxes are devastating. If biofilm isn't removed or weakened the rest is useless. Antibiotics do little vs. FL1953.

I am going to learn more as treatment proceeds! I am detoxing like crazy to get reading for the herxes. Sigh.

Thanks for sharing JackieMoon! I wonder if I might have it. Have not had the Fry test.

Maybe I should get the test. If I don't continue to improve, I will. How much does it cost? Is it roughly $600?

Please keep us posted on your treatment and progress. Best of luck to you! :)

Here's an article I recently posted about Protomyxzoa Rheumatica:

Jackie - what are your symptoms?

A Canadian lady had it years ago...and I believe that was the one thing keeping her from getting well. (if I recall correctly)
Is that the one that requires a no fat diet...to starve it?

I don't know if you've seen her story. You can google "Justin and Christa vanderham". It's a beautiful, inspirational story. She was treated by Dr. M.R. in Seattle.
Symptoms started Sept, 2013 (maybe sooner?)
Buhner's protocol May 15/14 to July24/14
Igenex positive July 3, 2014; Doxy: July 4-Aug.24/14
Zithro July26-Aug.24/14
Amox 1000mg x3 + Probencid started Aug. 29/14; added biaxin 500X2 Sept. 26/14
Disc. amox and added Ceftin Nov. 20th. End of Jan/15 pulsing Tindamax ; disc biaxin
Buhners bart herbs started Dec/14

I copied and pasted from a link on FL1953 but this is what I specifically have. There are lots of overlapping with Babesia, Bartonella, and Lyme.

Poor to “pathetic” capillary refill ( skin color changes –pale, dusky, mottled )
pain behind/in eyes
Sinus congestion
teeth pain
Abdominal pain, nausea
Joint and muscle pain, weakness, twitches
Profound fatigue, complete loss of aerobic exercise
tolerance
Intense headaches
Sweats (night/day), chills, flushes, dizziness
Insomnia, profound brain fog
Anxiety, panic, OCD, irritability, agitation, impulsivity, ADD, emotionality
Hypercoagulability

My herxes in the past have been excruciating with meningitis / encephalitis also occurring. I am guessing that Bartonella has only exaggerated that.

Yes the Fry test is expensive and every LLMD seems to use it differently. I am not on low fat diet yet. First we are trying enzymes to get at biofilm protecting FL1953 ( DR showed me the biofilm protecting the bug ON the slide. Crazy. )

I can save you a lot of heartache and herxing as I have been down this road. Many of the side effects you listed occur because of a lack of methylation. It is imperative that you get your methylation pathway running so that you can detox more effectively. As an example, eating walnuts daily caused me to herx and I would have to stop eating them. Now that I supplement to get around several mutations, I can eat walnuts daily with no issues. Green tea doesn't cause a herx now either.

I would get my methylation pathways functioning and then attack the FL1953. IMO, I'm not sure we can eradicate it. We can live a normal life, but I haven't been able to get rid of it in two years of trying.

FL1953 will allow for a dysbiosis and that needs to be addressed. It can cause nutritional deficiencies that need to be addressed. And IMO, it directly causes SNP's that help the body overcome an increased burden and these SNP's help the FL1953 in its survival.

I didn't notice a herx difference on green tea and walnut. I am have been on both for a long time and continue it also. DR wants to get immune system back online else treatment won't work too effectively. I swear I am "hypo" everything now that I have been tested. I never was before I got sick. Bad leaky gut also so I am not digesting food well. Enzymes I am on are Serrapeptase & ZymeMax so far. Ton of supplements. Detoxing like my life depends on it. Not sure what is going to be used on FL1953 yet. Haven't gotten there yet. Also what else starts showing up that was hidden once biofilm is broken down more should be "interesting." DR is very concerned about general clotting with FL1953 which Serrapeptase is also good for.

What are the symptoms for this bug?
A pooper scooper trooper. Battling bartonella, Lyme, and mycoplasma.

Somewhere around 90% recovered... Not easy to get the last 10%! open to any advice I can get!

I've been studying other organisms that utilize fats similarly to FL1953. H pylori is one of them. I read where the H pylori test is not reliable for people who have leaky gut and other bacteria in the GI tract can cause a false negative. I am starting to believe that the combination of H pylori and FL1953 is what causes our issues. Some people with FL1953 have no problems. Some people with H pylori have no problems. Could the combination of the two be what is causing us issues? It has certainly peaked my interest.

Ivermectin coupled with systemic enzymes is what seems to be most effective against it from what I've read. You shouldn't limit your fats though. You can't starve it to death without starving yourself to death.

Thought I would revive this thread. I have been diagnosed with PR as well. I have been on Doxy for 2months now, and have cut back on the fats and generally have been eating better. Now it seems that my only real discernable symptom is intense anxiety, hopelessness, etc. I feel like I am going crazy! Anyone else experience this? I don't have any physical symptoms other than occasional muscle twitching. I sleep fine, and physically I can run and exercize, its more mental it seems like..

Alina will hit Protomyxzoa Rheumatica pretty hard but you have to pulse it. Unfortunately it's $100 a pill in the US but you can get it overseas for .25 cents a pill. Go figure.

I've thought about looking at my blood under a microscope for a while now but I know I'm going to get royally pissed off when I see all these bugs floating around so what's the point?

Alina? I will have to look into this. Should it be taken with an antibiotic? I am 2 hours away from Mexico, think it might be available there?

Hello. It is possible Protomyxzoa Rheumatica does not exist. Some snaps from this study:http://protomyxzoa.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Protomyxzoa_rheumatica.pdf

has been taken from babesiosis here http://www.femexer.org/3213/babesiosis/

Sciences show here it is too little known information about it, to be true: http://www.szu.cz/uploads/documents/CeM/Zpravy_EM/24_2015/06_07_cerven_cervenec/232_patogen.pdf

How many with PR (FM) know they were exposed to water damaged buildings or other known mold?

Georgia, I thought I once read that you suspected Funelliformis was benign, has your opinion changed?

I am still of the opinion that by itself, it poses us little problems. I see the decrease in Firmicutes as our main issue.

I've been studying one heck of a cycle of disease and I think I've got it figured out. Think being such a variable word.
