My post above sounded as if I was opposing what Greenblue said, but honestly, I hadn't even read their post until now! LOL!
The fever blister/cold sore is what gets me to take the high doses, as the fatigue from EBV creeps up on me and I don't notice it so much. It's when I get under some stress and have a fever blister pop up that get's my attention and I start the L-lysine.
And to be honest, I think it was the Olive leaf extract that brought out the fever blister/cold sore for you because it put more stress on your body is all - so the EBV flourished just a bit and you got the fever blister. At least that's what I've deduced about
myself when that happens.
I too have used Guaifenesin. I was diagnosed with Fibro so many times that I was starting to believe it. So when I read about
others having some success with it, and it was readily available, I thought, why not? I find it helps with things, although it's far from being all that we need as Lyme patients.
I agree that our 'road' that leads us to our Lyme diagnosis can be a very interesting one!
