I'm so glad you may have found what's right for you!!
I do have a suggestion, but it has nothing to do with Lyme - it has to do with having IV's started. I too am one with hard veins to work with and have gotten to be quite cranky when it's time for one. My veins not only move, but twist while the needle is going in- so I can have 1 hole in my arm and the vein underneath, plus 3 or 5 more holes in the vein above the initial "stick site".
I tell them they get one shot and one shot only. If they don't get the IV started in one shot, they have to stop and go find someone better than them, or the nursing supervisor. End of story. Plus absolutely no "fishing" - where they don't take the needle out of the arm, but try to "jab" the vein quickly with an in and out motion. They are allowed to "capture" the vein (essentially grab it to hold it still), but they still only get one shot at it.
There are no exceptions given - ever. If I'm asked, I just politely ask them if they have veins like mine, and if they say yes, then I just say "Then you understand." If they say "No, they don't have veins like mine", then I tell them, "well, if you did, you would completely understand why I do this."
Now the key is to be polite - even overly so - the whole time. No one wants to do any favors for someone being rude. I've had the nervous nurses leave and go get someone else right away - and I'm very careful to tell them thank you for being so honest with me - and I've others try to bargain with me, once they have tried and failed. I've even argued with the head nurse - because no one but me has to live with that pain. And considering you will be going in every week, they should all be working to keep this as pleasant as possible, with as little scaring as possible.
I would have to agree with you about
so little information on ozone treatment for Lyme in general. I found the idea fascinating.
Do make sure you are doing plenty to still detox though.
