Good morning Girlie :)
I had my tick bite in 2011, I went to the hospital and unfortunately they did an Elisa test (too early) and told me I am fine, even though I had flu like symptoms and redness. After that i was fine for years. My symptoms started literally over night in June last year. I went to bed feeling great and woke up so sick that I could not even walk. They have tested me for everything, lupus, ms, als. Chronic fatigue, fibro, chronic migraine, hiv, syphilis etc. You name it. I spent hours on mri scans, ct scans, endless blood drawings, hospitalization in December for 5 days with huge cardiac. Issues. Twitching and constant low grade fevers and a numb whole right side of my face.
They did 4 Elisa tests all negative and told me that I can't have lyme. I was so sick that I had to fly to germany to get help. Over there they diagnosed me due to my clinical symptoms. My doc over there said that the persistent rash which looks like wrinkled blue paper on my elbows and finger joints is proof that I have chronic lyme, he started the treatment with doxy and for the first time I felt better.
I had to go back to the US and my symptoms came back about
2 months ago, so I went to see my primary care and she put me on doxy but won't treat me any further I guess. Because of my negative wb test. I am so happy to have an appointment with an llmd in Denver on sept. 4th. Until then I continue with the vegan diet, low fat,
And vitamin supplements. I have to pay my llmd out of pocket $355 for the first visit and all meds covered by me. The docs my insurance covers only go by blood tests. It is so sad. The herxing alone tells me it must be lyme. What other disease would go nuts after taking abx?
