Hi Mysteriousme - welcome to our community!
So,if your first time on antibiotics you were left with some "odd, but totally manageable symptoms" - it could have been lyme symptoms that werent' fully irradicated...and then could come out 16 years later.
So, yes it could resurface.
I wouldn't recommend a spinal tap... though, as they often do not detect the bacteria in the fluid.
What lab did you get the Western Blot done at?
Band 41 is a relevant finding. There are different opinions on whether it is Lyme specific - so it could be lyme or something else.
You could also get a Western Blot from Igenex Lab - it's the best place to test for lyme and/or co-infections. They will send you the test kit.
The IgM and IgG tests will cost just over $200 plus the Fedex fee to deliver it to igenex.
If I were you, I would look into finding a LLMD and scheduling an appointment. He/she can evaluate your test results, along with your symptom history and treat you.
