I've never used this, nor do I know much about
it, but I was able to find this:
IVIG replaces IgG in immune deficiency and modulates the autoimmune process. Often needs to be higher dose as lower dose may stimulate T cells to make more anti-neuronal antibodies.
One can get severe Herxheimer reactions with high-dose IVIG but it is absolutely necessary in many cases. -
Both of these were under the notes for Dr. Jones talk: www.betterhealthguy.com/ilads-2014#sthash.dM6lS4pe.dpuf
And then this is just one gal's experience with it, where her levels dipped down as well: " The drip had to go very slow, as adverse side effects were common, and I personally would experience screaming migraines and increased lethargy afterwards. My white blood cell count would also dip very low, therefore causing the infusions to be taken treatment by treatment, as if they did not return to the normal range, I could not receive my IV. According to Amiram Katz, the doctor who administered my IV’s, IVIG “may be the only safe immune-modulating treatment in the presence of infection,” and though it “has worked with 5,000 patients with Lyme disease,” it is typically “given for complications of Lyme and not for Lyme itself.”www.beyondthebite4life.com/2015/06/hope-for-healing-ivig-and-chronic-lyme-disease.html
I'm so sorry that I can't be of more help, but hopefully someone that has used IVIG and had these issues will be along shortly.
