i would caution anyone that's interested in these protocols to consider working with an LLMD. sometimes folks on here make it sound fairly easy to self-treat. while that may be true for some its surely not true for all. much of this depends on how complicated your situation is for example my sister in law has been in treatment for over 10 years and she's got multiple strains of lyme, babesia and bartonella which has wrecked her nervous system amongst other things. herbs can be just if not more powerful than abx so be careful.
The trouble is that most LLMDs are just that; MDs. They are trained in the use of antibiotics, but not much else.
When our LLMD weaned K from abx, she let me know that she would be unable to help me with herbs; that she knew nothing about
them. So I was essentially on my own.
With Buhner's books and consultations with his associate, I was able to do a very good job of treating both K and myself. But you are right that many people, especially those that are neurologically impacted, may have difficulty.
Seeking the help of a naturopath (LLND) or herbalist may be a more appropriate suggestion. Purchase Buhner's books and take them with you to the appointment.
You are also right that herbs can be as powerful, or more so, than antibiotics.
