I realize that her rash is horrible to live with, but as she detoxes those abx, the reaction will go away. Can she take Benadryl? If it doesn't put her to sleep or cause too much anxiety or depression, she can take a double dose if necessary.
Calamine lotion might help soothe her legs too.
Steroids will lower the immune function - it says so in the package insert or you can go online and find this information. That will allow her other infections - yeast and Lyme - to have free access to her body while she is on them. Sure it's only 6 days, but in that 6 days she could wind up be totally miserable for weeks afterwards. So if she can get by without them, she really should.
We are the only guardians of our health. The doctors give us suggestions, but it's only up to ourselves to determine if it's really the best course of action for us at any given time.
