I was introduced to acupuncture back in 2003 and it helped so much that the doc showed me a couple of pressure points to use. Then I used acupuncture as part of my healing in 2010 - 2012 and learned a couple more pressure points to use.
Always start off gentle, and work your way up in pressure. You don't want to leave a bruise or make it hurt too badly, but otherwise it's very safe to use.
I posted this article because it seemed to be well explained and easy to use. For me, because of the digestive issues I have had for all my life, the "3 mile" or Stomach 36 point is usually quite tender - until I start rubbing it and very slowly increase the pressure until it's a tiny bit sore again. That's when I stop, and things are usually better.
I hope this helps!
