I would suggest that you take either ginger 'nibs' or make up ginger tea to take along with you to help with the nausea. Don't wait until you are nauseous to use it, eat or drink it anyway, 3 times a day at least. I like the ginger nibs (or my health food store makes their own that are lightly sugared) as they don't require refrigeration and it helps me to chew on one at a time for a bit longer than I really have to.
Water -take plenty of the water you are used to drinking if you can.
I like salty when I'm traveling, so I look to nuts, pretzels, 'veggie chips' or anything else that I can find that won't totally undo my diet and my digestive system.
And I was one that when faced with uncertainty, my brain pretty much just shut down. If I got frustrated with something, it was all over with. Try to catch yourself before your frustration level gets that high (generally as soon as you notice frustration) and walk away for a few minutes. It's amazing how when we stop thinking on a problem sometimes the answer will just pop into our heads. But even if it doesn't, staying frustrated doesn't help us, so walking away and taking a few minutes to regroup or even redirect our thoughts for a bit can be a big help.
Can you eat salads out? You can go to places like subway where other people can eat their food and you can get a salad - to go even if you need to! Just be sure to take safe salad dressing if needed (I do).
